TimberWise by Tridome Structures
From Urban Roots to Urban Heirlooms
A Mill Rooted in Stewardship
Timberwise is Tridome Structures’ mill, where material intelligence meets environmental empathy.
We transform locally sourced logs, recovered from the urban forest and regional arborists, into lumber that carries a story of renewal and responsibility.
Each log that enters our mill is diverted from the landfill or chip bin, tagged by species, and traceable through a verifiable chain of custody. It is a process defined by stewardship, from the removal of a tree to its grain finding new life in the built environment.
Our material serves two purposes: it supports Tridome’s glulam, NLT, and curved CLT production, and it supplies the broader architectural and fabrication community with responsibly milled, ready-to-use timber.
Every board is cut with intention and accountability, ensuring that what begins in the canopy of a city street continues as part of the next generation of structures—from urban roots to urban heirlooms.
From Urban Forest to Finished Form
Our logs are sourced directly from trusted local arborists and regional forestry partners, wood that might otherwise be wasted.
Once on site, each piece is tagged and sorted to highlight its unique strength and character. We kiln dry, surface, and prepare every board for transformation, whether it becomes a handcrafted installation, an engineered timber panel, or a structural element in a larger design.

This process is not seasonal. The diversity of our region’s forests means we maintain a consistent, year-round inventory of both native and exotic species, each one chosen for performance, appearance, and integrity.
Every piece of Timberwise lumber is an opportunity to craft, to design, and to build something that honors where it came from.
Chain of Custody and Material Transparency
Our commitment to transparency does not end at the mill. Each Timberwise board carries a traceable record from the arborist who removed it, to the mill that processed it, to the project that gives it purpose.
This continuous chain of custody ensures verified sourcing, regional sustainability, and measurable impact across every phase of production.
We see this traceability as a design tool, proof that responsibility and beauty can coexist in every layer of a structure.
Guided by EPSP
Every decision at Timberwise is shaped by Tridome’s EPSP Framework, balancing Environmental, Physical, Social, and Psychological impact.
A Circle of Stewardship
At Timberwise, we do not harvest trees. We extend their life.
We see the urban forest as a renewable material source, a living cycle of design, disassembly, and rebirth.
Every log, every board, and every structure we touch contributes to a future where sustainability is not a trend, it is the standard.
